1. How did you first get introduced to Troma?
I saw Cannibal the Musical at Anthology Film Archives, and thought it was great. I saw that Troma produced it. On my way out of the theater, someone handed me a perfume sample called "Aroma du Troma."
Were you a Troma fan before auditioning for Terror Firmer?
After my initial introduction, I wrote Troma some fan mail and sent them a picture I'd had taken in front of the fake forest backdrop at the K-Mart portrait studio.
3. What was your audition for TF like?
Will Keenan auditioned me. He said I could do whatever I wanted for 5 minutes so I did a monologue from Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan using troll dolls as costars.
4. What was the set of Terror Firmer like?
It was chaotic and really hot. In the scene where Lloyd's head explodes, they were using what seemed like actual guts mixed with syrup. It was heinous, glistening in the mid-afternoon heat. I couldn't stop staring at it. I was exhausted every day of the shoot from performing at night and working on my cable access show.
Was it accurate to what was portrayed in Farts of Darkness: The Making Of Terror Firmer?
Honestly, I haven't seen it. I don't have a DVD player. I just got a pink TV and I want to get a pink DVD player!
5. Do you have any interesting stories from the set?
Sean, from the Toilet Boys, hated trolls, so one day I brought a troll to the set and put in his arms while he was sleeping. I got out my camera and was about to take pictures when he woke up and put the troll down his pants! It remained in his pants for two days at which time he removed the violated troll and handed it back to me...I'll think of more.
What are some of your favorite Troma movies?
Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke 'Em High, Tromeo and Juliet
7. Could you tell us a little bit about your various projects?
Right now, I am writing and starring in a series called "Electra-Elf & Fluffer" wherein I play a spandex swathed superhero named Electra-Elf. Fluffer, my chihuahua sidekick is played by Rev. Jen Junior, my chihuahua. The series is being directed by Nick Zedd, who I met on the set of Terror Firmer. So far we have 4 complete half hour episodes, which will soon be on cable access stations throughout the globe and in film festivals. This past year I had a book published called "Reverend Jen's Really Cool Neighborhood" and a corresponding one person exhibition of my art in Chelsea. These things can all be viewed at printedmatter.org along with other limited edition books I've done. I also just started a magazine called "ASS" (Art Star Scene) that features a lot of great writers. As always I still run my troll museum and my open mike and can be found performing in various art holes across the country.
