Troma to invade TRL?
There's been a call on the Troma website for volunteers to dress up as Toxie and Kabukiman, as well as hold up signs outside of MTV's Total Request Live on June 15th and 17th. It's currently unknown what Troma will be doing with the show, but it might be a good idea to watch TRL on the 15th and 17th. If you're interested in volunteering, send an e-mail to Troma.

Troma at Cannes
Okay, I waited a while to post this, Since there has been tons of coverage of Troma at Cannes throughout the past few weeks, I decided one big-ass post of all of the cool news stories about Troma at Cannes would be better than a bunch of little ones... so here it goes:

First off, Troma gladly supported the striking French film workers, as Yahoo! News reports. Then came word that a fan chased down Billy Bob Thorton during an interview and had him sign his copy of Chopper Chicks In Zombietown. According to MSNBC, Thorton was surprised that he now had top-billing on the DVD cover. Here's a French article that I've yet to be able to translate. The BBC site has a brief article on Troma, as well as a cool video clip of the Troma volunteers and a Lloyd interview. Last but not least, be sure to check out volunteer Emma Brown's article.

Ron Jeremy to host a screening of Tales From The Crapper
If you're in the Los Angeles area, be sure to swing by the Dark Bar(aka King King Club, I think) at 6555 Hollywood Blvd. this Friday, because the legendary Ron Jeremy will be there hosting a screening of Tales From The Crapper! Ron also has a cameo in the film and since the DVD release is still a good way away, this is another way to see it before it's in stores!

Megan Powers says goodbye to the Troma Team
Troma Team Video employee Megan Powers has left Troma to live in California. She spent four years at Troma getting the word out about across the country and around the world. Tromatized! wishes Megan the best of luck and check out the Troma Team's dedication to her at troma.com

Poultry Geist possibly making it's way into production?
According to Troma.com's Cannes page, a mascot from the rumored and long awaited Troma in-house production Poultry Geist named Killer Coq will be introduced at Cannes on May 17th, 2004. There are also job openings for a makeup artist posted on the website, which is leading Troma fans to believe that Poultry Geist is getting closer to being in production. No official word as of yet, but it's certainly something for us to cross our fingers over.
