Review: Big Gus, What's The Fuss?
Reviewed by: Tyler Baptist

So what exactly is the fuss over 'Big Gus'? Why does Lloyd call this the worst movie ever and why does he not want anyone to see it? I have no freakin' clue!

'Big Gus' is in no way a terrible movie. I really liked this movie. It was funny, it wasn't slow moving, it was a good time at the movies. The best way to describe 'Big Gus' is like calling it 'Cry Uncle!' without the sex and nudity. So now what is the story of this actually good (in my opinion) movie?

Well Gus and his partner Harry are two detectives on a case. They are trying to get proof for their friend Irwin Mitchell's mother that her son's ex-wife is cheating on him. Talk about a paranoid mother! So Gus and Harry are trying to get photographs of them kissing. So far they've had no luck and Mrs. Mitchell is geting pissed. And if they don't have the proof by the end of the night, they won't get paid. One problem is, is that Dr. Theodore Lux and Ethel now that Gus and Harry are after them, so Dr. Lux hires a mob boss named Don Flowers and his two henchmen Marshmellow and Potato Head to help him get rid of the detectives. Now this is were it gets hillarious, in one scene in the hospital Gus and Harry run into Don Flowers and the two goons, and Don Flowers is wearing a corsaige and he waters it. Comic brilliance right there. So the goons catch them and they the Don orders them to beat Gus and Harry up. So how do they beat 'em up? Why in Three Stooges fashion. Funny stuff. So now Gus and Harry get the help of their friends Hard-Luck Herman and Cindy to help get some dirt on Dr. Lux and Ethel. They go and bug a hotel room where the two 'Assignments' are supposedly staying. Will Gus and Harry solve the case? Will they get the proof? Will someone squeal on them? Will they make the deadline? You'll have to see 'Big Gus, What's The Fuss?' to find out!

'Big Gus' is a great comedy. I don't know why Lloyd hates it so much? It's got good acting, some super funny scenes, great music (including a hillarious rendition of Quincy J's 'Ironside' theme), and it's just a romp to watch. I think every Troma fan should see this, it's not the most Troma-type movie, but it's damn good. The funny thing too about it, is in the ad on the site it says it is in Hebrew with English subs and has a timecode. Well, it's in English and has no timecode! In my opinion there is no fuss with 'Big Gus'!
