Review: Igor and the Lunatics
Reviewed by: Shane Vozar

Igor and the Lunatics is dismissed by many Troma fans but I consider it a Troma classic in the Grand Guignol style. If you enjoy films like "Bloodsucking Freaks" then you should also enjoy "Igor". It is the story of a freeky cult in the sixties who would pray while on narcotics and have sex orgies as part of the "new way". One dude has had enough and wants to take his woman and son out of the cult but she is into it and does not want to leave. As we all know, leaving a cult is difficult if next to impossible! Well he escapes and the pigs arrest everyone. When the cult get out they go on a misogynist bloody rampage and dude and this red haired woman with huge and I mean enormous hair try and survive plus get the boy. Igor truely steals the show with his over the top psychopath with a shrill laugh and over sized switchblade. It's rape, torture and murder and non stop action pretty much all the way thru. Not to mention a funky soundtrack that really sets the mood.
